The Geospatial Hub simplifies management and distribution of spatial data within an organisation. It allows departments, often with different GIS systems to share a common ORACLE database. Corporate data are made widely available via an intranet application. Map and data management are centralised and costs reduced.
The Geospatial Hub consists of a central spatial database with modules to
- manage and maintain the database schema and user access rights

- control data import and export with options to automate standard processes

STAR-APIC supply the technology behind award winning CD and DVD mapping products produced by Ordnance Survey Ireland (Trail Master), IGN France (Georando) and IGN Belgium. These give the user access to a range of mapping, height information and typically aerial photography in an easy to use package.
They provide the ability to define trails and waypoints and display route information including profiles. Users can add their own information, including links to photographs. All products link to popular GPS devices. Trail Master and GeoRando also provide 3-d viewing and modelling capabilities.
STAR-APIC are extending both the capabilities of these products and delivery mechanisms to allow map publishers to reach a wider audience.
